My English Learning Method

I like English. I think I can share my English learning method with you. First of all, develop interest on English. My way to make it is to watch movies from abroad. At first, I will watch the movie with subtitle. Then I will remove the subtitle, only English left. Gradually, show great interest in English. Secondly, recite vocabularies. Vocabulary is the necessary foundation to start learn English. This time you have to force yourself to remember words. Thirdly, understand basic grammar thoroughly. It is hard for me to understand the meaning of a sentence if I don’t know the basic grammar. Last but not least is to speak more. The basic purpose to learn a language is to communicate. So talk in English as much as you can. And don’t worry about losing face, because everyone makes mistakes. Those are my methods.

We all make mistakes which are inevitable. What makes mistakes worse is failure to correct your own mistakes. While making mistakes is good, repeating mistakes is definitely not. Apart from correcting your own mistakes, we should learn from the mistakes as well.

You can only learn from you admit you have made one. As soon as you start blaming other people, you distance yourself from any possible lesson that could be learned from it. Admission of mistake, even if only privately to yourself, make learning possible by moving the focus away from blaming yourself and towards understanding. Wise people admit their mistakes easily. They know progress accelerates when they do. On the other hand, for many reasons admitting mistakes is difficult. This is why some people consider that people can learn nothing from mistakes. We are educated in school, in our families, or at work to feel guilty about failure and to do whatever we can to avoid mistakes. This sense of shame combined with the inevitability of setbacks when attempting difficult things explains why many people give up on their goals: they are not prepared for the mistakes and failures they will face on their way to what they want.

In conclusion, we can and could learn good lessons from past mistakes in order to be more successful in our private and public lives.

A young idler, an old beggar

Almost everyone knows the famous Chinese saying: A young idler, an old beggar. Throughout history, we have seen many cases in which this saying has again and again proved to be true.

It goes without saying that the youth is the best time of life, during which one’s mental and physical states are at their peaks. It takes relatively less time and pains to learn or accept new things in a world full of changes and rapid developments. In addition, one is less likely to be under great pressure from career, family and health problems when young. Therefore, a fresh mind plus enormous energy will ensure success in different aspects of life.

Of course, we all know: no pains, no gains. If we don’t make every effort to make good use of the advantages youth brings us, it is impossible to achieve any goals. As students, we should now try our best to learn all the subjects well so that we can be well prepared for the challenges that we will face in the future.

With the human resource market getting competitive, more and more students have sensed the tense atmosphere and felt the necessity of learning more. They are no longer satisfied with what they have learnt at school. They are eager to improve their academic performances and absorb more nutrition to qualify themselves to compete with others.Parents also place all their hopes on children, wishing them a bright future. Accordingly,a number of tutorial centres which guarantee a good mark mushroomed. They just meet the needs of those students, who poured into the place trgardless of whether they need to do so,some of whom just follow the trend without doing any detective work.As a result, some who have little self-discipline waste time sleeping and reading comics during the lessons.Somer who can't arrange their time properly and fit it into their busy schedule don't make progress they have expected. The endless and tiring study without any recreation even affect some students' health and lead to the other side of the coin. Each coin has two sides. We should work out a practical way to balance it.

Next year, I will go to study at university, but I don’t know how to adapt myself to university life. I hear many freshmen are at a loss what to do when they are at university. They can’t take care of themselves in their everyday life, feeling lonely and homesick. Clothes, money or mobile phones are sometimes gone. (英语作文)And because of different climates and food, they often feel sick. Some even rent rooms outside the campus. Could you tell me how to deal with these problems so that I will be able to suit the university life in the future?
